2023 “Meet the Baroque-Era Painter Who Extolled the Creative Power of Women,” The New York Sun, April 6, 2023
My article for The New York Sun in 2023, “Meet the Baroque-Era Painter Who Extolled the Creative Power of Women,” highlighted the artistic contribution of the Portuguese female painter Josefa de Óbidos, a trailblazing 17th century artist whose life and work deserve wider recognition today.

2022 “Playing the Long Game,” The Spectator, July 7, 2022- I reviewed the Cezanne Retrospective at the Chicago Art Institute for The Spectator. Founded in 1828, The Spectator is the oldest magazine still in operation anywhere in the world. I attended the press preview in Chicago and interviewed exhibition curators for the article.

2022 "An Advertisement for His Genius," The Wall Street Journal, ‘Masterpiece Series,’ printed on January 7, 2022. I wrote about Antoine Watteau’s final painting, known as “Gersaint’s Shop Sign” on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the artist’s death. My research for this article came from my PSC CUNY travel grant which brought me to Berlin to see a special exhibit at Schloss Charlottenburg.
